In-Ground and Wireless Dog Fences for Bullmastiffs
The days of seeing those industrial-looking fences for dogs are hopefully ceasing to be thanks to cutting edge radio wireless and hidden dog fences in the marketplace.
No one, like your Bullmastiff enjoys being enclosed in a fence. Most older dog fences can take away the sense of independance that being outside provides. With today’s wireless dog fences, your Bullmastiff may feel like the king of his domain when you install a radion wireless dog fence or an in-ground electronic dog fence.
So, if you see little white or orange flags instead of chain link dog fences, know that this is an indicator of an installed in-ground dog fence.
Electronic dog fences are quite a bit cheaper to install and is much less intrusive than a physical dog fence or pen. Just as an added bonus, you are not stuck with an ugly chain link fence in your yard. It only requires a fairly simple installation and a couple of training sessions with your Bullmastiff to say goodbye to ugly dog fences forever. Once your dog gets acclimated, the dog fence safely does the hard work of keeping your Bullmastiff in the yard area.
The Types of Invisible Dog Fences Available
There are a few categories of electronic dog fences available on the market for you to use to contain your Bullmastiff. Typically, most top manufacturers like Innotek, Perimeter and PetSafe offer a basic configuration, deluxe products and advanced remote training functionality.
- In-Ground Dog Fences: These are great for large yards (sometimes up to 25 acres) and are the easiest to install and operate. Simply connect the loop wire to the indoor radio transmitter. When your Bullmastiff gets near the wire, he will be gently reminded to move away with a shock to discourage him from approaching the wire boundary. As the dog figures this out, he will not get too close to the boundary to avoid any discomfort. This is a great system for humane Bullmastiff containment.
- Wireless or Radio Dog Fences: These fences work by using radion waves from a transmitter that you plug into as simple wall outlet. The further your Bullmastiff wanders away from the base radio transmitter, the slight static charge from the collar increases to signal the dog to come home. Wireless radio dog fences work best for small or indoor aread, such as restricted yards or even inside the home or a recreational vehicle.
Either of these dog fences are 100% safe and harmless for your Bullmastiff, so you don’t have to worry about that! Wireless and in-ground dog fences use a slight static charge to correct the dogs actions. There is no chance of harm from electric shock, as the waterproof remote dog collars use a small lithium power source to generate the static shock.
